John Ingledew, born 1960, is a photographer and Art School teacher. He studied at St Martin’s School of Art where he later taught for many years. Two previous books of his photographs have been published focussing on football fans. In four decades of taking pictures John has photographed everything from Oscar winners to open-heart surgery, though not as yet simultaneously. He is a Visiting Professor at the University of West London and his work is in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery. John’s photographs featured in recent major UK exhibitions, Grown Up in Britain, 100 Years of Teenage Kicks, and, From the Caribbean to Coventry.
