Meg Jordan is a British fashion and portrait photographer. Having fallen in love with storytelling through portraiture at university and having spent much of her time searching for references through archives in public libraries, second-hand bookshops, and the personal libraries of photographers she has assisted, her work remains rich with influence and emotion. The importance of storytelling has always remained at the forefront of her work; she enjoys highlighting genuine moments of internal thought, unique beauty, and a narrative wider than the frame.
The images in this body of work create a sense of fragility and quiet between the bustling medinas of Morocco. After spending time with a cooperative just outside of Fes, she learned about the women working towards changing the narrative for artisan rug makers in Morocco.
