- SERIES OF 11 OIL PAINTINGS AND THEIR PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY ON FILM AS CREATED BY TRANSMEDIA ARTIST LETIZIA LOPREIATO
Launching on March 22nd 6 to 9 pm at Photobook Cafe London, is the newly completed oil painting series, accompanied by its documentation via photographic journey of self-exoloration, as captured by transmedia artist Letizia Lopreiato.
During her launch event, which will include two projections and a display of some of her latest artworks, the artist has chosen to guide us through the why and how the CONSCIOUS AWARENESS reached by incorporating a new medium to her photography and poetry based practice, is connected to her next exhibition and to the book that she has just finished writing.
Letizia will explain during an artist talk on the day, how the use of colour has been represented the most cathartic process, while healing at a physical level from a condition of visual impairment experienced over the past five years, to the empowerment she experienced, until what she defines as her REBIRTH took place, thanks to the thriving expansion of her healed heart WITHIN COLOUR.
Letizia Lopreiato is a multilingual transmedia artist, focused on documentary in her art - practice. Her work has been published and exhibited internationally across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy. The artist has been an awardee of Arts Council fundings, which allowed her to foster her creative practice, while turning the disabling condition of visual impairment which affected her since 2018, into the lead power for her self discovery as a professional film photographer and transmedia artist focused on inclusion and cooperation in her exhibitions. Her work encompasses the use of film, poetry, prose, her multilingual spoken word (English, Italian, Spanish and French) and the one of sound, as well as her large scale hand writing, as lead features of her inclusive installation work.
