Hasful Zainuddin is a photographer and visual artist from Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.
Photographs as Memories is his most recent work based on his experience while spending a year living abroad in London, working as a restaurant crew in Portobello Road. Featuring 51 color Polaroids and an afterword by Malaysian avid skateboarder, Zhafir Zakaria, also an essay by renowned writer, artist and academic, Dr Zakaria Ali.
The book is his fifth publication after Mata Hati (2014), For Those Who Had Been Used (2014), All Cats Go To Heaven (2019) and Tanah Lain (2020).
Photographs as Memories one-day solo exhibition and book launch in Photobook Cafe & Gallery, London, is supported by the National Art Gallery of Malaysia.
