Formed in 2020 by artists Anna Luk and Lucy Kane, Tied to Light is a collective that champions artists whose practices challenge the boundaries of photography through experimental approaches to image making.

Tied to Light Vol. 2 highlights the work of fourteen artists who delve into the tactile nature of photography, making visible its material properties that often go overlooked. Each artist brings a unique perspective to the discourse on the materiality of photography, redefining the traditional understanding of the medium and blurring the lines between image and object.

Through a diverse range of techniques and conceptual frameworks, these artists prompt contemplation on the interplay between image, surface, and representation, inviting us to question how we perceive and understand images.
