Digital Ballet Workshop by Jack Hally
In this introductory workshop we will be using node-based visual production software TouchDesigner to code an interactive particle system which can be manipulated via physical human interaction. The project utilises Harris Corner Detection, feedback looping, and displacement mapping to produce immersive liquid visuals. Requires a laptop (ideally with a camera and mouse, but not entirely necessary), and installation of TouchDesigner (free). No prior coding experience is required!
I am currently studying sculpture with creative computing, with a primary interest in producing surreal audiovisual works. In this workshop I would like to share my processes and discoveries in the digital realm.
